In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official release, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a hidden cult.
The adventure centers on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Extra Material
Players who finish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana alongside multiple items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa outfit for Naoe

Newest Free Story Addition
This update also brings the game's newest no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
